Guys, I am back with another topic that is technical and a continuation of the previous blog post.
So, welcome back, I hope you are doing well and sending a lot of hugs and positivity to all of you.
Street smarts are a different personality altogether. They don’t believe in wasting time by reading books nor do they believe in scoring A’s in academics.
Street smarts are practical people who believe in trying, experimenting with things. They believe in implementing things, talking to people, absorbing thoughts of other people, and learning by failing.
Street smarts are risk-takers, they take risks, and emphasize ‘How’, not on ‘why’ or ‘what’.
They try to understand the environment that they are working in.
A great synonym for street smarts is having common sense.
Henceforth it means knowing how to respond in different situations and paying attention to your surrounding.
But the most important thing to remember is that street smarts acknowledge worst-case scenarios and then take steps to prevent them most casually.
It doesn’t mean that you have to live in fear at the same time you have to keep in mind that things might go wrong and you have to be prepared for it mentally.
And don’t let your emotions drive you.
Without any further adieu, let’s further understand that 10 Street Smart Signs will help you if you don’t know.

10 Street Smart Signs:-
Being book smart doesn’t matter if you can’t implement it practically in real life. Statistically speaking street smarts outperform book smarts when it comes to getting a job done.
Why? Because as I mentioned before street smarts don’t rely on books, they are inclined towards reality.
They don’t believe in theory, rather implement it whereas, book smarts are inclined towards theory.
That’s the reason why having a combination of both is a bonus.
By the end of this article, you should have some basic idea about street smarts and how they can implement in real life.
So, without any further adieu let’s understand the topic.
Don’t be an easy target:-
One of the key rules is don’t be an easy target.
Don’t walk around all vulnerable and expect the predators to walk around you. Remember in business and life, predators always target low-hanging fruit.
And that’s not where you want to be.
Your place is at the top, henceforth be hard to get a target and the jackals will ignore you because you’re simply filled with too much work.
Look like a threat or at least as you fight back:-
We gable in life-based on the risk-reward ratio.
If the reward is big enough, someone out there is willing to take the risk. Increase the number of risks people taking to screw you up.
That’s why the rich always bring the bus of lawyers with them to court.
Be bold, be courageous. If you seem at risk of things going south then, they’d rather go somewhere else for someone just like a low-hanging fruit mentioned above.
Carry cash outside of your wallet:-
It’s important to learn how to negotiate in today’s time. And so remember these two golden rules that will help you:
Never disclose what your buying power is.
Keep some cash separate, just in case you need it for small transactions. You don’t have to show your hundred-dollar bill to everyone.
Also, here is a lesson to learn from a pickpocket, and here it goes:
“ Always put your wallet sideways in your pocket so it gets stuck if trying to pull it out.”
Most pickpockets can tell where and how easy your wallet is to reach and they’ll always go for an easy target.
Money that has slipped from your hand is no longer yours:-
This one fact is pretty straightforward. We all have learned a lesson and here it goes, “The hard way.” didn’t you.
The opposite of it is true and here it goes, “A deal is cracked only if you have money in your hand.”
Henceforth pay attention to this fact, here it goes, “Money is never yours, it just turns to hold it!”
So, nothing is permanent, everything is temporary.
If you get arrested, just shut the f**k up and call your lawyer:-
It’s by far the most valuable legal advice. Shut the f**k up.
If you get into legal trouble, then all you have to do is call your lawyer. Be polite, don’t share much information.
Ask if you are free to go, or are being detained.
They even say it to you upfront, “Everything that you say can and will be used against you!” So, don’t give them anything to use against you.
It’s not what you know, but who:-
This fact had to deal with power plays.
Growing up in a corrupt nation teaches you this one thing unless you know, one such powerful individual you can’t get your work done.
You know what I am talking about. But also remember that such a powerful dynamic can get you out of trouble.
Name dropping is such a powerful weapon, that can be used that can either open the right doors for entry or exit through.
Scammers will do anything to get your money:-
Today’s world is fast-paced.
The internet has shaped up the world.
Everyone uses the internet for various reasons right from gaining information to consuming content to even posting pictures.
Because of which it’s becoming bigger and is clubbed with more data. And with that, some scams are taking place.
Scams are being done by certain people who simply use our data and create fake profiles and use it to scam people.
This leads to incidents such as financial fraud.
Always remember, “Never send money to anyone you don’t know personally!” Verify the website. And use VPNs. I highly recommend using NordVPN.
Test people’s character before you trust them:-
It’s really important to understand humans in today’s time.
Growing up around inconsistent values leads you to get a forced education into reading body language and small behavior traits.
This is known as a side-eye in your sleep.
If you can’t trust someone with little money then you probably can’t trust them with a lot. And it applies to you as well.
Know that there’s no free lunch:-
Let me explain this one with an example.
If somebody comes up with a gold ring saying that you must have dropped it. After saying no, they still offer it to you as a gift, and probably you give them something in return.
You accept the ring and take a look at it, looks original and shines realizing that you’ve been scammed. Remember these two rules:
Nobody is a fool to give you such a treasure when they can keep it themselves.
If you don’t earn it, then don’t take it.
The first rule indicates human nature and the second one indicates who you are. Nothing is free in today’s world. Everything is priced, and remember there’s no free lunch.
Learn to always cut the deal:-
Being book smart and having a high IQ doesn’t mean that you know everything. Life is beyond that.
What matters is having a high EQ or Emotional intelligence. Books don’t teach you to talk, it all starts with you.
Everything that we are dealing with humans around us there’s a deal to be made. I recently came across this quote from the Arabs and here it goes, “Everything in life is negotiable!” You just have to start negotiating.
To understand Emotional Intelligence I highly recommend you to read Emotional Intelligence Why it matters more than IQ by Daniel Goleman.

So, combining both the traits of smartness. It will make a huge impact.

Nice post, I previously used NordVPN. But since it's not so stable on certain censored places, I also apply some other names such as PandaVPN and Surfshark.
